Un nuevo Golf se dirige a la parrilla de salida. Será la octava generación, y las innovaciones digitales y en materia de diseño lanzarán a este superventas " del que se han fabricado 35 millones de unidades " hacia una nueva era; la era de la conducción electrificada, un mundo interior digitalizado y conectado, con conducción asistida y funciones y servicios con soporte online. La siguiente generación del Golf dará forma a esta era con nuevos impulsos.
El camuflaje permite a los curiosos identificar que tras las líneas blancas y negras se oculta unvehículo de cinco puertas con proporciones poderosas. Y no esconde en ningún momento que se trata de un Golf » porque su ADN visual es inconfundible. Cualquiera que mire de cerca también verá que la designación «Golf» ha sido integrada en el camuflaje. Sin embargo, el camuflaje no revela un elemento: los detalles más sutiles del nuevo diseño. Klaus Bischoff, director de Diseño de Volkswagen, dice sobre el vehículo: «Por ahora, no revelaremos todos los detalles del nuevo Golf, pero ya se pueden percibir sus elegantes proporciones». El diseñador jefe continúa: «¡La siguiente generación será un coche genuinamente atractivo!». La cuenta atrás para el debut del número ocho ya ha empezado: el nuevo Golf celebrará su estreno mundial en otoño de 2019.
