Volkswagen has a clear objective: carbon-neutral mobility for everyone. At the Volkswagen Way to Zero Convention, representatives of the company will be talking about this with independent experts from the worlds of business, politics and science. The digital conference, taking place on 29 April 2021, will revolve around three key concepts: How will Volkswagen make mobility CO2 emissions-free; what do customers expect; and what will help society along its path toward carbon-neutrality? Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this event will be held digitally.
The format for the Volkswagen Way to Zero Convention is emblematic of the new mindset at Volkswagen: It is open, ready for dialogue, and digital. Experts from Volkswagen will exchange knowledge and ideas with international guests at this one-day event.
The keynote for the convention will be given by Ralf Brandstätter, CEO of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. He will present the cornerstones of the Way to Zero strategy and demonstrate how Volkswagen wants to fully decarbonise individual mobility » far beyond purely cars.
Through panel talks, presentations and video clips, convention participants will discuss subjects including the battery cells of the future, charging infrastructure, livable cities, and how the automotive and energy industries are growing together. Rather than aiming to answer every possible question, the convention seeks to be thought-provoking and create momentum.
Interviews with several guests are already available.
Although this digital conference is primarily intended for journalists and media representatives, selected content will also be broadcast publicly via a live stream. The entire event will also be available on demand after it has taken place.
